Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
Kronos (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Call of Duty Zombies companion app built to help players complete Easter Eggs and find guides. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Kronos mobile app or visit codzombies.app.
By using Kronos, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Firebase Phone Auth, we store your phone number and a unique Firebase user ID so you can sync progress, bookmarks, and guide history across devices.
- App usage data: We collect interactions inside the app — such as which guides you view, completion steps, and feature usage — to improve recommendations and guide quality.
- Device information: We may collect device type, OS version, app version, and a unique device identifier to help diagnose crashes and optimize performance.
Firebase services we use
- Firebase Authentication: Used for phone-number sign-in. Firebase sends the SMS verification code and stores a minimal user record.
- Cloud Firestore: Stores your profile, saved progress, guide history, and user-generated content (such as bookmarks or notes).
- Firebase Analytics: Helps us understand how players use the app, which guides are popular, and where users get stuck.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Records crash reports and performance data so we can fix bugs quickly.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Used to deliver guide updates, changelog alerts, and community notifications you opt in to.
Phone authentication
- Kronos uses Firebase Phone Auth for passwordless sign-in. Your phone number is verified by Firebase and is used only to create and secure your account.
- We do not sell your phone number, and we do not use it for marketing messages unless you explicitly opt in.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app settings; this removes the account record from Firebase Authentication and the associated data in Firestore.
Analytics & crash reporting
- Firebase Analytics processes aggregated, pseudonymous data about how the app is used. This data is not tied to your real-world identity in a way we can directly access.
- Crashlytics may include device state, stack traces, and session data at the time of a crash. It is used solely for debugging and improving stability.
- You can disable analytics collection in your device settings where supported by your platform.
How we protect your data
- Firebase security rules restrict access to your Firestore data so that only your authenticated account can read or modify it.
- We do not share personal data with third parties except as required by Firebase’s infrastructure and security operations.
- We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.
Your choices & deletion
- You can request a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, or delete your account by contacting us or using the account deletion option in the app.
- When you delete your account, your personal data and Firestore records are removed from active systems. Some residual data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period.
